Natural deodorant
This deodorant is made with skin-nourishing plant oils, waxes, minerals and citric ingredients designed to keep you smelling lovely and condition your skin in the process. It’s packed with odour-fighting heroes and beautifully scented with Lavender, Bergamot and Lime essential oils. Apply after showering or after exercise to keep your friends and loved ones close.
Directions for use: Push stick up a short way (not too far!) and place it in the snuggly warmth of your armpit for a few seconds, then smooth some deodorant on. If the stick won’t push up, simply warm it up in your hand first then it should glide up smoothly.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately. This deodorant is made with Bircarbonate of soda which might be too alkaline for some skin. Try our Gentle Deodorant made with Magnesium instead.
Remember this deodorant is made with fats, oils and waxes. It’s designed to respond to your body heat and melt into your skin. In winter it’ll be quite firm, but you can warm it in your hand if you’re having trouble pushing the stick up. Please keep it stored under 22°C.
The container is made from cardboard, and while perhaps it’s not as durable as a plastic tube, it’s more environmentally kind, biodegrable and zero waste. This also means if treated poorly (smashing around the bottom of your backpack or getting it wet) it will degrade faster than a plastic casing. Treat it well and it’ll be in your corner (and your armpits) for a long time.
About the ingredients:
We all know what Cocoa butter and Coconut oil are but have you heard of Candelilla wax? It’s a vegan-friendly beeswax alternative harvested from the small Candelilla shrub (Euphorbia antisyphilitica or Euphorbia cerifera). It gives this deodorant stick a nice firmness.
Zinc ricinoleate - A natural, highly effective odour-absorbing ingredient derived from castor oil and zinc salts and very effective at prohibiting the pong. It chemically captures and binds to odour-causing molecules produced when skin bacteria break down sweat, neutralising the smell without just masking it.
Triethyl citrate - Sounds scary, but it’s just a liquid ester (a compound made from an acid and alcohol) derived from citric acid and ethanol that stops body odour by blocking the enzymes that break down sweat. It’s skin friendly, biodegradable and made from renewable plant sources.
Bicarbonate of Soda - You probably already know what this is. It’s an alkaline salt that’s very effective at making cakes rise and fighting odour. We don’t use too much of it, but if your pits are sensitive to the alkalinity, you might like to try our Gentle Deodorant with Magnesium instead.
